It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've had a problem that a few others had, but nobody bothered to notice because the topic they expressed their predicament in had been previously solved. This problem is still proving a poser to us Freespace 2 fans aching to play the game.
I've downloaded the program twice on my computer, the first through the browser and the second one through the downloader, and both times, the setup file takes a long time to actually do anything (about five to ten minutes) and ends with the announcement that the setup file is corrupted. I paid for this game with the intention that I would be able to play it, not sit in front of my computer monitor getting frustrated with its installer.
Is there any way to fix this situation? Either there's something wrong with GoG or the game that we're getting has a corrupted file that desperately needs fixing. If anyone can offer their assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

I would check to make sure you firewall or antivirus programs are not interfereing with either the download or the install as well.
Was this solved somehow? I've got the same issue. This is one of 5 games I downloaded and I installed the other 4. This is the only one having issues. Downloading for the 3rd time, but I don't expect that to fix this.
Same issue under Vista. But under XP, no such problems; installer worked & the game was installed without a glitch. I guess Vista compatibility claims are bogus. Tried setting compatibility to win xp pro sp2, ran as admin, but to no avail. C'mon, GOG! Is that the best you can do???

I should've followed up.
3rd time was the charm, it was a good download and no issues. It runs beautifully even on my Vista machine. Add the freespace 2 mod shared in the sticky thread and it runs extremely well on my netbook (XP)...but only after the mod, prior to that framerate was horrible and resolution didn't fit the screen.
