It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

When the install is finished, and I try to run the setup_freespace_2 file, it first check the file integrity, and then shows an error stating:
"The setup files are corrupted. Please download a new copy of the program."
I've re-downloaded it 4 times now, and have recieved the same message all the times, although the first time, the integrity check took only a split second before the error came, and the second time, the setup file was a 0 kb file.
And perhaps a bit off-topic, but I've downloaded using the browser download all 4 times now, and I've attempted using the GOG downloader, but whenever I try to log on the downloader, it claim that my email or password is wrong, and I know it isn't the wrong email. I've even tried to change my password, but it took me almost 7 tries before it would accept my old password, and finally change it (But GOG downloader still wont accept it).
Please someone, help me!
Are you using any antivirus or firewall software you can disable during the download?
Any trouble downloading other GOG stuff or the freespace 2 extras?
Could you possibly download it on someone else's computer?
You might want to try clearing the cache on your browser (temporary internet files in IE, can't remember what it is in firefox, maybe just Cache)
I hesitate to suggeest it but there's probably a torrent of the gog version, as long as you've paid for it here then I doubt they'd object to you downloading that one

I've tried downloading it both with Anti-virus and firewall on and off, but without any improvement.
I have no trouble downloading the extras, but I tried downloading Beneath a Steel Sky, and it also said, that the file was corrupt.
I only have acces to my own computer, so can't try downloading to any other computer just yet.
I'll try cleaning the Cache, and keep an eye out for a torrent at the same time.
I tried clearing out my cache, and began downloading both Freespace 2 and Beneath a steel sky again. The Beneath a steel sky finally worked, but Freespace still wont work.
I've noticed, that the size of the setup file seem to be different every time I download it. The last couple of times it has been 1.29 gb as it should be, but at the browser download window, it states, that the files is 1.55 gb. Also, the GOG icon of the setup file seem to be gone, leaving a standard program icon.

What browser are you using to download the game?? I had issues with downloading GOG's with Opera for somereason but I had no problems with Firefox.
Are you always downloading them to the same location? If so, try switching to saving them in a different place.
or looking for a download manager with resume features. I prefer Flashget, seems to work well
Yeah..it sounds to me like your download it getting stopped part way through (which is why the file size is too small). If you use a download manager, you can make sure you have it entirely downloaded before you try installing it, and that should work. If not, I'd suggest trying to find someone in Denmark who can burn it onto a DVD for you and mail it to you :)
Hello,
I'm trying to install freespace 2 for my lenovo r500 thinkpad with vista and centrino processor. I downloaded the setup file via browser and when I try to run the installer it only does the file check and then the whole computer freezes and nothing happens.
I've tried to run it as a administrator.
What should I try next?

I am getting the same exact error. I have not been able to solve it and I have tried both download methods, website and downloader.
I've been having this exact problem with both this and Ground Control
