Hi GOG!,

I would like to ask if I am able to play Freespace 2 without a joystick. So instead of a joystick ill be using the mouse to move around like how Freelancer did it or in a way that War Thunder does it.

Can someone tell me this? Otherwise I don't have any options of getting it as I don't have a joystick.

You can play without a joystick. I prefer to play FS2 (and space/flight sims in general) with a joystick, but there are some who prefer to play FS/FS2 with mouse + keyboard. They generally use the keyboard to perform large movements and the mouse to perform more controlled, nuanced movements. You can also just use the mouse, but that involves a lot of swiping.
