Hey all,

So I'd like to play Freespace 2 in 4:3 aspect ratio to avoid the stretched HUD/menus, but there's no option for 1440x1080, which would be 4:3 at native resolution. If I choose something else the monitor scales and of course it doesn't look nearly as good. Any way I can get this in the launcher?
Are you intent on playing the vanilla version? With Freespace Open you can play on modern, widescreen aspect ratios. Otherwise you might be able to turn off stretching or change your screen's resolution in either your graphics card control panel and/or Window's control panel.
With FreeSpace Open, you can specify custom resolutions by using the -res <x-resolution>x<y-resolution> commandline option, e.g -res 1440x1080 in your case. These must be specified in the Launcher's "Custom Flags" textbox.
