Hey guys/gals, I'm have a problem with the force feedback not working in freespace 2. Control is otherwise excellent, I just feel like I'm missing out on the immersion factor.
I've setup my joystick in the freespace 2 launcher, and enabled force feedback and directional feedback. I'm using a Logitech Wingman Force 3d and windows xp, if that helps.
I also noticed that there are no files in the "force feedback" folder of freespace 2. Could that be the cause?

Try setting compatibility mode to Win98(right click on your shortcut>properties>compatibility), I recall having issues on Vista & XP with force feedback, sometimes it was out of synch or not there at all.
This should be a standard tip on this forum, but have you tried out FS2Open already? it does fix a lot of things in FS1 and 2.

Yeah, Force Feedback works very well on FS2Open under XP.
