This is a problem with FS 1 (vanilla GoG). During the tutorial (and other moments) when the instructions/information text comes across the top of the screen it goes by way too fast.
The text appears and then, maybe a second later, disappears - thus making it impossible for me to read the entire blurb. Sometimes this isn't an issue, but I failed one of the first tutorial missions because apparently the text said to NOT destroy a crate right away, I didn't see that - so I destroyed the crate.
It is quite irritating trying to read the text as it appears, sometimes I can read the whole thing but most of the time it goes away far too quickly.
Is there an option/setting I can fiddle with to slow this text display rate down?

If I understand what this guys done, it should help slowdown the game timers and make it run at the proper speed.

Also F4 will bring up a mission status screen ingame.
