Just tried this mod and its fraking awesome..
Sadly its only a demo and leaves me soooo hungry for more..

Unfortunately, if I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up. The BtRL team broke up quite some time ago and there are no guarantees that the people who remained with BtRL will complete the work.
But on the bright side, the other side went on to begin a new BSG total conversion for FSO called Diaspora ( http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=175.0 ). You might want to follow their progress too (even though they haven't yet released even a demo).

The Beyond the Red Line team doesn't seem to be very ... professional. They have broken off all contact with the mod community and seem to have adopted the silent approach. A lot of their fanbase has disappeared, most of the remainder have gravitated towards Diaspora (http://www.moddb.com/games/diaspora) as the above poster said.
