Q: When’s the next release? When are you planning to release the complete game?

A: Alas, now there’s a war in our country, and it’s really hard to plan something in these circumstances. The final release date will be announced when we are sure we can keep our promises.
For now, we keep on working on the game, all the little (and big) updates you can see in #devlog
First, we are planning to release the renewed game on the new engine (Unity) with Chapters 0-4 included. We will also release the demo version of the game with Chapters 0 and 1.

Q: How will the game be released?

A: For now, we have planned the following steps:
Full transfer of the game from the Wintermute engine to Unity with visual enhancements, fixing the existing bugs, and the addition of Chapter Four and Prologue (Chapter 0).
Releasing the new version with Prologue and Chapter Four on Steam and GOG.
Releasing the Demo that will contain Prologue and Chapter 1, so that everyone can try the game before buying.

Q: What platforms will the game be available on?

A: The game will be available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux through Steam and GOG distributing platforms. It will also be compatible with Steam Deck.
If the release is successful, we will do our best to release the game for Nintendo Switch and home consoles.
We will probably release the game for mobile platforms, but it’s not our priority.

Q: What’s taking so long?

A: There’s a war in Ukraine, and since we all are Ukrainians, it affects us pretty badly: there are nightly (and, sometimes, daily) air raids, power outages, stress, tiredness – all these make us postpone the work on the game to deal with current problems instead of making art and working.
Due to the hostilities, we all had to leave our homes (some of us several times), and changes like that, unfortunately, also require a lot of resources, money, as well as time.

Q: In the renewed version, Leah changes her clothes. How will it work? Will we be able to change her clothes at will?

A: Yes, in the renewed version, Leah changes her clothes. It will be determined by the environment or the plot of the game. You won’t be able to change it at will.

Q: Why Unity?

A: Because all the team members are already acquainted with this engine, we won’t have to waste our time to learn it. Moreover, we are using PowerQuest Toolbox, and it makes the process easier. The easier the process for us, the faster we develop the game. It also lets us make all the amazing changes we just couldn’t provide with the outdated Wintermute engine.
