First, thank you devs for being active on the GOG forum. Some devs just drop the game here and return solely to the Steam discussions.

It's not something I'm too concerned with during the development stages, but in the long run I'm assuming mods are going to be implemented more. I notice that this game is on mod.io, so when you subscribe to a mod there does the game itself have a connection to the site to download the mod and not reply on the platform? Is mod.io going to be used over, say, Steam Workshop?
I ask because a number of times when games are on multiple platforms a lot of mod makers post to Steam Workshop but nowhere else. It makes getting some good mods a pain when not on Steam, and I'd like to get what I can through GOG.

Thanks!

you can download mods from within the game

you can download mods from within the game
Now that's a nice way to see it done. Cut out all the middlemen. Thanks for the info.
Is the respository on mod.io like I suspected or does it seem to be their own internal base?

All mods are currently hosted via mod.io

As mentioned you can either download in-game or subscribe on mod.io either way the mods are being pulled from mod.io

You will then need to add them to a pre-existing save or new game. Note, not all mods are available for pre-existing saves, for example the names mods or maps which need to be added at the start of a new game.

Thanks! I ended up figuring it out. I wanted to know what the mod plan was before investing in the game, and have now invested!
Great to hear @SpankyMcGilligan, thank you for your support!
