I am starting to have housing problems. The houses are capacity 4, but only 3 people will be living there (several houses like this). When new immigrants come, I always end up with one that will not have a house. I have been playing this game for around 36 hours now and this oddity started within the last 8 to 10 hours. Does anyone have any idea as to why this might happen?
One of the more recent patches was supposed to fix this.

Housing has always been buggy.
Thanks. I am playing 1.1.7 and this behavior started with it. I started playing this game at version 1.0.9 and I may go back to it. It was the most stable version that I have played so far. I never noticed a problem with housing in that version, only problem that I seemed to have was that the monks did not fulfill their needs.
Do you have a Monastery and conceded villagers to the monastery?

If that is the case then they will break the family bond and leave people behind. If you have another single villager looking for a house they will take the 4th spot in the house. Couples will not be able to separate to move into the single empty spot.

Yes, I do have a monastery, so I guess that is where the 3 person households are coming from. The problem is that the single person without a household keeps recurring, as immigrants arrive and it takes forever for them to find a house to join even though there are spaces for them. There are plenty of places to build, as well, but they will not build a house, so I am constantly nagged about the one person not having a house.
Thanks for the feedback.

We will review the housing process/monastery and monks during development as well as the whole family interaction.
