I don't think so, as the gamepage still reads: "Multiplayer Notice: Please note that the GOG Galaxy Client is required to access Multiplayer"

What a bummer, because I expect 100% DRM-free games to be sold on GOG.

If it turns out I am wrong re: the multiplayer requirement, please somebody correct me (I don't have this game, because of the Galaxy requirement).

The Linux version has unneutered LAN multiplayer! This is so silly. They deliberately destroyed parts of the other version. GOG has a good thing going here but here and there some small anti-consumer practices pop up.
