Im a big Salvatoe fan and that was one of my main reasons for buying this game back in the day. Did anyone else buy the game based on his name and what did you think? (Typing left handed after a bottle of wine should be made into a game, might suggest it to Popcap)
Just bought the game and haven't played it yet, and I bought it more because of the sale than anything else, but I do remember R. A. Salvatore talking about his video game project when I saw him at the bookstore. At the time he wasn't allowed to name the game yet, but he seemed genuinely excited about it. I like Salvatore's work even more after I got the chance to meet him because he is not only an excellent writer but a genuinely nice guy.
All that aside, however, I still haven't played the game yet, but Salvatore's name at least tells me there will be a good story, even if the game play is a bit wonky on the PC. I'm looking forward to trying it, as well as all the other D&D games I missed or, in the case of Neverwinter Nights, haven't been able to run on a W7 computer. Because of data caps, however, I will not be downloading them all this month, but saving them on my shelf for a while.
