Ok, I already posted on how to transfer characters from POOL to CURSE and now that I just finished CURSE, I worked out how to transfer the characters to SECRET and figured I'd share what I found.
Oh, and these are Mac specific instructions. I've learned that the Mac setup is quite a bit different than the Windows setup.
It's pretty much the same as how you transfer from POOL to CURSE.
So, here are the steps I took in order to transfer my Curse of the Azure Bonds characters to Secret of the Silver Blades on Mac:
1. First, close Secret of the Silver Blades if you have it running.
2. In Curse, load the save game that contains the characters you want to transfer
3. Go through and unequip all items that effect your ability scores - I simply unequipped everything
* Let me explain a bit here . You may not need to do this, but I did it to be on the safe side. At first I tried it without doing this and my characters went into SECRET with their ability scores still magically modified (notated now in SECRET with an asterisk next to the ability score) even though all their equipment was gone. As a test on a character showing 22 STR (from an Enlarge spell I used at the end of the game in CURSE) and I equipped the Gauntlets of Ogre Power you get at the start of SECRET. His STR went to 18/100. I then unequipped the Gauntlets and his STR went back to it's normal, non-magically enhanced value.
So, I was a bit afraid of things screwing up if I had these characters running around with magically enhanced stats without the magical equipment. I'm guessing they'd get the bonuses of the higher stats until I equipped something that changed the attribute, but that'd be "cheating" and I didn't want to do that.
4. Remove all the characters from your party that you want to transfer
5. Exit Curse - you don't have to save the game
6. In Finder, go to your Library folder under your home folder. This may be tricky as by default, the Library folder is hidden. So, in Finder, go to your Home folder and then select the Go menu (in Finder) and select "Go to Folder...". A small window will open and in this window enter "Library" (without the quotes).
7. In Finder, now go into the "Application Support" folder, then the "Boxer" folder, then the "Gamebox States" folder, and then the "com.gog.curse-of-the-azure-bonds" folder.
8. You should now see an item named "Current.boxerstate" - right-click on this item and select "Show Package Contents" from the popup menu.
9. Now, open the "C.harddisk" folder and then the "SAVE" folder.
10. Ok, this is it. In the SAVE folder you should be able to find your character files. After testing, I've determined the only files you need are the ones with your character name ending in ".GUY". So, for instance, if your character's name was "MERLIN", you would need the file named "MERLIN.GUY".
11. So, now open another Finder window and do the same as above to navigate to the following folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Boxer/Gamebox States/com.gog.secret-of-the-silver-blades/Current.boxerstate/C.harddisk
12. If you haven't saved a game yet in SECRET, you won't see a SAVE folder here. If it isn't there, create a folder in C.harddisk named SAVE
13. Simply copy the .GUY files for the characters you want to transfer to this "SAVE" folder for SECRET
14. That should be it, now fire up SECRET and select the "Add Character to Party" option, select that it is from "CURSE" and you should see your characters available for importing
