Found this on a spell scroll, scribed it, memorized it. Whenever I use it in combat it fires off but doesn't do anything when it strikes the target. Has anyone seen this before?

Some enemies are immune to spells below a certain level.

Foes in the slums area - goblins, kobolds, orcs. It's weird.

Can other characters use the spell? And can you use a Wand of Magic Missiles (I think you get one if you kill Otho)?

That I'm not sure of - the other wizard doesn't have it yet. I'll have to see about Otho.

Are you using the Gold Box Companion (GBC)? I've heard of some strange stuff happening while that is running - you could try stopping it, restarting the game and then see if Magic Missile starts working properly.

I wasn't - could never get that thing to run. The magic missile problem fixed itself after levelling. I'm not sure why but hey not the strangest bug I've seen. I'm a pretty big fan of the one that had an integer roll over and grant me 65535 pieces of jewellery.
