I'm currently playing PoR, and giving it a try on ironman (with the help a a guide).

I have a question about Restoration scrolls : do you lose 1 CON when using one ?

Restoration doesn't normally reduce CON in AD&D (as do Raise Dead and Resurrection), nor does it do so in the PoR game.

While I'm at it : Does Raise Dead/Resurection reduce a character's CON in PoR ?

My understanding is that the answer is "yes" for Raise Dead but "no" for resurrection. (Also, I'm pretty sure that it's the *target's* CON, not the caster's, that is reduced.)

Also, I don't think Raise Dead works on elves in these games. Yes, that rule is archaic, but these games are based on an archaic ruleset (and are themselves quite old), so that's to be expected.

You can apparently "Raise Dead" on elves at temples though.

Maybe in some games of the series, but not in PoD : No way to raise/resurect a dead elf in this game.

I have never tried it myself, but it is reported to work in PoR and CotAB at least. Not sure about SotSB. They must have fixed it by PoD.

Did you try Resurrection?

Yes I did (cast by one of my clerics). Repair from a temple doesn't work either.
