Try increasing the number of cycles in DOSBox.

Also, I think you may need to adapt to the game having some lag; I don't think the games are particularly well coded.

Do you mean during character generation, when you're trying to change your attributes and they keep on changing long after you've stopped pressing the button? That happened in native DOS back in the day as well. I assume it has something to do with keyboard buffer and I never quite figured out a way around that. But since it only happened during character generation it never was a big deal to me.

It happened there too but it's in the middle of battle when clicking on stuff =/
