I cont figure out how to transfer my team from Pool to Curse.

When I try add character and pick pool nothing happens.
When I try and run copycurs program windows 10 wont run it.

I am sure I am missing something obvious as I dont see the question in these forums.

Any help appreciated thanks.

Did you ever manage to figure this out? Because I want to know too, and so far I have been too stupie to figure it out myself.
I ended up using a separate copy of DOSBox.
I then loaded it and issued these commands:

Mount C "D:\GOG\Curse of the Azure Bonds"
Mount D "D:\GOG\Pool of Radiance"

C:
Copycurs

In Copycurs I selected Pool of Radiance to Curse of the Azure Bonds
Selected "Other" for the source, then D:\PoolRad
Selected "Other" for the destination then C:\Save

This seemed to work.

Disclaimer: This is from memory from a few hours ago, you may need to tweak the commands a bit, and it also depends on your GOG games being installed into D:\GOG. Your system probably varies!
What's a poor Mac owner to do then? =P
I ended up just copying the whole pool folder to my curse save folder and then it worked. I would imagine that just copying the character files would work, but I didnt want to sort through them so did everything.

Hi, if anyone got the Gold Box series recently and has been wondering how to transfer their characters from Pool of Radiance to Curse of the Azure Bonds, here's how to do it:

"To transfer a character file from Pool of Radiance to Hillsfar or Curse of the Azure Bonds you need a 'charname.CHA' file. However, Pool of Radiance does not create files that end with .CHA UNLESS you remove the character from the party in one of the training rooms.

Once you complete the game and are ready to transfer from Pool of Radiance then you should go to the training hall, enter one of the 4 training rooms for fighters, thieves etc and then select the option 'Remove Character From Party' for all characters you intend to transfer. "

THEN: you can go into the Pool of Radiance / POOLRAD directory and look for a file name with your character's name on it that is a .CHA file. Copy this one file, then paste it into the Curse of the Azure Bonds / SAVE directory.

When you launch Curse of the Azure Bonds, you'll have the option to "Add character to party" - then the game will ask: "Add from where? Curse | Pool | Hillsfar | Exit" - select (P) for Pool of Radiance. You will then see your character from Pool of Radiance that you can add.

And you're all set!

This worked, thanks. Though one key point that frustrated me a bit is that if you move files with Windows while Curse is open, it won't recognize them until you close Curse and re-open it.
Thanks for this help; I've just transferred my POOL characters to CURSE :-)

I noticed a favourable bug - although you lose all your equipment, if your characters were wearing Gauntlets of Ogre Power (increasing Strength to 18/100 (otherwise impossible for all but male fighters)) when you removed them from party in POOL, they will permanently have 18/100 strength as though it were their natural strength once imported to CURSE.

I now have a mage and cleric and dwarven fighter/thief with 18/100 strength.
nvm
