Hey just wanted to address this to whom it may concern:

When the copyright questions appear and I hit [ENTER] nothing happens. I have to actually look up the answers if I want to progress. Someone above might want to fix this issue. I bought the game from GOG about one week ago if that helps.

When you start the game, it says: "When the protection screen comes up in-game just type anything, press ENTER and the game will continue."

So just hitting enter obviously won't work. Hit a random letter key and then hit enter.

It's possible to remove the copy protection entirely. Using a hex editor, edit AESOP.EXE (file size: 151968 bytes) and make the following two changes:

Offset: 0x6029
Search for: 74 F5
Change to: 77 F5

Offset: 0x6042
Search for: 74 DC
Change to: 77 DC
