What are the best Dungeon Hack sound settings in DOSBox & how does one change them without losing the voice recordings?

I have Googled audio advice on this & other SSI games Gog emulates on DOSBox. Apparently Gog's versions of these default to emulating a "Roland" sound card, but at least in some cases, the sound will sound better / more like the titles Way Back In The Day if you change the settings to emulate an "AdLib" sound card.

I have experimented with trying to do this several times : when one runs DH you are asked to press any key then choose from a menu of options; #2 lets you change game settings (actually just audio.)

Besides using one audio source for everything, one can choose one set of audio hardware to do music & another to do "digital effects" (I presume this includes the voice synthesis seen e.g. in the game's opening video.)

I'm not sure, selecting an AdLib card setup *might* improve sound quality a bit to my ears, but it turns off the great voice audio! And I haven't been able to fix this issue so far by selecting to use AdLib card emulation just for music & other hardware emulation for digital effects --- even emulating what look like the most powerful sound cards.

Some direction on which combination of audio settings available here will enable best quality audio without losing voice would be helpful!

Select No when it asks about using more than one sound card/device.
Select SoundBlaster Regular/Pro
Defaults should be fine (address is 220, irq is 7 if you want to manually set them)
You now have speech, as speech probably uses PCM sampling that SoundBlasters supported back in the day but basic Adlib did not. At least not without more complicated programming required.
