Was this fixed on the current GOG installer or it's still required to do it manually?

Not 100% sure but i think you still need to do it manually. But i haven't played Flatout 1 in a long time and i haven't played the GOG version yet since i beat the game before.
Only thing you can do is test it yourself.

Thanks for the reply. I'll save the file then, just in case is still needed.
I downloaded Flatout recently and can confirm that the bug is still present. I tried the solution here and it worked. Thanks!
Hello everyone,

still broken and it's almost the year 2023. Will send GOG a ticket too.
The two files are actually corrupted, you can open them for instance in GIMP to check it yourself.
The link with the undamaged files is broken but is still accessible through Archive.org's Wayback Machine.
I would post a link but as I get the "You cannot post any links at this moment." error, you need to do it yourself.

Edit:
Okay, I cannot contact GOG and just get stuck with the stupid support bot.

I really doubt GOG will fix this ...If they did want to fix it, they would have done it by now..

you can skip the chatbot if you follow these instructions.
