So, i bought Flatout 2 the instant i saw it on gog and had a blast yesterday evening. By the way, nice that you can select german even when you chose the english installer and still have real people in the cars. But there is this small issue that i already had in the past: The menu controls are hard coded to arrow keys and enter/escape, i can't control them via my 360 pad. Is there any way to change this? It's irritating having to put down the pad after each race, not to mention enter and escape are really clumsy to use for confirm/cancel.

I noticed this issue too. The odd part is that in FlatOut 1 you could use the accelerator button to advance in the menus, but it apparently doesn't work in FlatOut 2.
Even weirder: You can click the right stick during a race to pause the game, same way as hitting escape. But of course you can't control that menu with the pad either.
If your controller has software that lets you map buttons to key presses you can do it.
Sure, i could easily map the arrow keys and enter/escape to the pad via JoyToKey. But that would interfere with the in-game controls, i think. Using the keyboard is just a minor inconvenience anyway, i just wondered why the pad isn't working in the menus when it works natively in-game.
Totally posted this in the wrong thread.
