Hello,
mit Flatout 1 is crashing to the Desktop after i choose Multiplayer/Host on W7 and W10.
Has anybody a solution?

I'm dealing with the same problem. Flatout just crashes with a "Fatal Error, Runtime Error" message after the menue in which you can choose the mode, track, etc. Singleplayer works fine, however. I hope that someone will come up with a solution, I have tried everything I could think of without a positive outcome.

Is this issue ever going to get looked at GOG?

I sure would love to play the first Flatout Multiplayer without it crashing on me.

For all who say "play the second one, its better and the netplay works" that is not the point, point is I paid good money for a broken game.

I think GOG thinks this is solved... another thread marked it as solved despite the solution being for FlatOut2 NOT 1... so... HELLO GOG... HELP

Hello everyone. In the changelog section, the last update seems to be the 23 may 2016, so I think the LAN function still doesn't work.
Sooner for me, the solution has been to download the game on another source
(torrent, but I've paid so it's legal for me) and with this one the LAN works fine !
In the forum, I see the GOG team did an update for the linux versions the 14 september 2018. Maybe they'll work for issues of win versions now.

Found a solution on PCGamingwiki.com that works.

Download the file listed here:
Hm... for some reason I cant post links so just add https:// at the beginning of the string
community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1023-flatout-wrong-version-fix-gogsteam/
Replace the flatout.exe and enjoy.

This works for the Steam version as well if you apply the flatout 1.1 patch first and then do the fix above.

Replaced Flatout.exe with the one provided at community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1023-flatout-wrong-version-fix-gogsteam/ and it works perfekt
