So, I have not played all through this one yet. Anyone that played the 1993 PC version could tell me which are the "Director's Cut" new cinematics, or when to expect them at least?
I think I noticed two so far:
1. After you talk to Ian in level 2 and go to the next screen on the right, there is a switch with a blown fuse. Using it in the classic version simply made Conrad notice that the fuse is blown (text appeared on the screen and that's it). With director's cut there is a brief accompanying animation.
2. Whenever Conrad gets off the train in level 2 there is a short animation of the door opening with Conrad standing next to them. In the classic version there was no animation - Conrad simply appeared on the platform.

They were unused (but present) in the original release. The REminiscence port cfg file has entries to choose whether or not to display the ASC and METRO cutscenes and has them off by default.

Seems so, and it's more than two, but not all of those: they used the one were Conrad pushes the button and it doesn't work because of the missing fuse (putting the fuse in, and pressing the button after that were not used), the one with the subway door opening (not the one closing, which I assume is the same one in reverse), and the one for the ID lock activation. I'm sure none of those were in the original PC release. Was one used in some other release and that is why they claim only two?

They files for them were present in the original PC release, but they were unused so never actually played. The REminiscence source port uses the PC data files and allows you to turn on two unused cutscenes, ASC and METRO, should you wish to see them in the game.

I currently have REminiscence set up on my machine, using all of the data files it supports - the data files from the original PC release, the music files from the Amiga release and the voice file from the SEGA CD release. I've heard that this new release here on GOG has better performance than REminiscence, and it seems to have a few more options and extras, so I might yet pick it up myself.

Sorry for going off topic, but how did you get the voice file from the sega cd to work? I've got the voices file and copied over, but I'm unable to get the actual scene's to play the voices.

Did you save the file in a particular folder?
In my opinion, the Amiga music and sound was better than in this release.

Back to topic: After finishing the game I am missing two cutscenes in the main manu to play, I wonder where I missed them. I had no opening animation in the subway btw. And I guess in comparison to the Amiga version the opening chase sequence had two more shots I did not know.

Unfortunately, whilst I have all the files it says it supports, my cutscenes lack voices too (well, certainly that one at the start where you play the holocube message). So I don't know. Oh, it's worth mentioning that this is with the original PC floppy disc files, not the CD version. With the CD files you get the pre-rendered SEQ cutscenes instead of the polygon ones (though you can force the polygon ones to be used instead if you wish). Whilst the pre-rendered cutscenes aren't liked as much due to the different art style, they do have the voice-overs included within them.

I've emailed the developer of REminiscence about this as voices arn't working for anyone. I'll let you know if I hear back from them.
