bought it while it was on sale, everytime i click to start it it'll go to the title screen for a second and close the program. compatability mode doesnt help. i have reinstalled the game and verified the files. there arent any error messages or anything. it works when the wifi is off

Same, can't find any fixes for it outside the Direct x 9 fix from steam, but that's clearly not the issue, it's solely tied into network connection which is fucking weird considering this isn't an online game at all.

I ended up just playing it with my network disconnected, but it's still a weird issue. If you start playing the game, then reconnect your network, the game also crashes instantly.
