Hey everyone,

Hoping someone might have an idea on why the game doesn't want to launch properly.
Whenever I try to launch the game the exe appears in the taskbar for a second or two and then dissappears, doesn't seem to actually open.

So I've done a whole range of general suggestions gog support gave me but they didn't seem to help.
I tried using the same files on an old Windows 10 laptop I had lying around and it loaded perfectly so that just made it more annoying.

I don't know what details anyone willing to help might want but I'll list a few to start.

I'm running windows 10 64 bit, intel i7-7700k, 16 gb ram, nvidea geforce gtx 1080.

This is the error that comes up in a dxdiag file after I've tried launching the game if that is helpful:

+++ WER9 +++:

Thanks for any help or advice :)

Are you using Galaxy? If that is the case and you have the overlay function activated...that could be the issue.

That ^
I would beg to differ. The game runs fine when launched via Galaxy here, overlay and everything. I am on Win 7 64bit tho
so it could be an issue with OP's Win 10 setup ....

To OP: Make sure your affected system does not default to the Intel IGP (if present). As this game runs on the OpenGL API and Intel IGPs are notoriously terrible for that.

If your system defaults to the dedicated GPU, then make sure your drivers and DirectX files are up to date.

Hm, interesting. It pretty much crashed immediately for me when I activated it (also Windows 7 64bit).
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. :)
They didn't seem to work but I've got the game working, so i'll leave what I did underneath incase it helps someone else.

I think it was due to my 3 monitor setup.
Disabling the extra monitors in windows didn't seem to change anything but after disabling them in nvidia control panel the game loaded fine and now seems to work even with all monitors up and running.

Interesting. I am on 2 monitors and i do not get issues with any game. I guess 3 is the magic number.
At any rate good to know your problem has been resolved, enjoy the game!

Now if only whoever is responsible for repackaging the offline files would update the offline installer ....
