I own several computers and would like to know if i can play multiplayer with one copy locally (LAN), If this is not an option is there at least a hot seat mode. I am asking because not all games on GOG are truly DRM free and I had the terrible experience of buying Age of wonders 3, only to find out that it needed an internet connection and multiple accounts to play even LAN games using my own PCs. Please tell me if this is the case with this title and thank you in advance.

You can play the normal MP mode on one account, with the turns going back and forth to the MP server, but there is also a Hot Seat mode.

In the Hot Seat mode, you would both have to be on one machine, and the second side's army is autoselected by the AI, but you would not need to be connected to the internet or watch a replay of the "other player's" turn.

In the MP mode, I am not positive whether the system will allow you to log into MP on two machines at once with the same login. I will have to check. Either way, the turns will be going back and forth to and from the PBEM server (more or less instanteously) so you would need to be connected to the internet.

If you play true MP on one account, the first time (ever) you try to accept "your own" challenge you will get a warning (in case you did it by mistake). But if you then try again to accept the challenge it will allow you to do so.
