Acting like an impetuous brat does not make him a marketing genius. There's no reason to be an asshole and a troll to your customers...you know, the people putting food on your table? For all the flak Bioware has gotten, even their slick PR marketing BS has never outright insulted fans. It's unprofessional and uneccessary.

It's funny people are defending the game here of all places, where the version released here is apparently riddled with bugs and hasn't been patched yet.
Fish has a shitty attitude but fez is actually a fun concept, still don't feel right buying it though. Cave story is clearly an inspiration and it's a lot more fun and also free, the developer isn't a prick either.

If your referring to the Intel IGP not being compatible with Fez that's Intel's side really, Sides Intel IGP's are not exactly Game orientated graphics solutions and other games have issues with that IGP too. Its also worth mentioning many fixed the said Intel IGP issue with just simply updating the Intel Drivers.

Also while I cant say im Phil Fish's fan I can at least say this... At least he speaks his mind no matter how blunt it is, but it still wont stop me buying and enjoying a game. Not to mention at this point he is the gamers "Whipping Boy" these days no matter what he does he will get some flack for it, like I note you did not mention the fact he gave away some steam keys for Fez on Twitter :P

But in honesty Phil could single handedly save 100 children from a burning school and people would still find a way to twist it and make him out to be the bad guy :/

Like I say I am not a huge fan of his but do appreciate his honesty and note he gets a worse rep than he deserves.
i love phil fish

I like to see the self righteous gamers get riled up about their toys for children.

That's original.

"All gamers are entitled brats and games are for teh kidz!"

Most here are resoning individuals who don't want to support a douchebag. People do it all the time: when we get ripped off at a store, when we vote, when someone releases a buggy game and doesn't patch it. Welcome to the world of adults. :)

Umm, the game was patched.

As for the XBLA version, that one was also patched, the only problem was that it could potentially corrupt saves from the unpatched version. It had no problems with new saves.

So yeah...

And if you aren't interested in buying/playing the game, why the heck are you still lurking around here?

Yeah, normally name calling customers isn't cool.
But the reaction of gamers makes it worth it. Guy calls gamers nerds, then it turns into 100 pages of 1000 word rants about boycotts, discrimination, and general outrage.

What gamers don't ever realize is they're getting mad about a $10 game made for entertainment. They totally blow everything way out of proportion.
