Whenever I click to start a new game, the game suddenly exits for no reason at all. I can't be the only person who's experiencing this problem. Does anybody have a solution?

EDIT: Problem solved thanks to Harest. If anybody is experiencing this, I recommend following his advice.

I created a thread to solve this problem, here : http://www.gog.com/forum/fez/game_doesnt_launch

I think a solution could be to set the resolution in game to 1920x1080 with a smaller screen resolution (from an other screen or just changing the resolution to start the game atm), then you toggle your native 1080p resolution back and you should be able to play properly.

Edit: I can confirm. I started FEZ with my 1680x1050 screen, changing the in-game resolution from 1280x720 to 1920x1080 (it still takes all the screen). Then i quit the game. Start Big Picture on my TV 1080i, start FEZ on it (adding a non-steam game), and it works perfectly, enjoy!

Harest:
I got it working now. I'm running it on fullscreen with a 1360x768 resolution and it's working like a charm for me. Thanks for the advice!
Happy it helps you. Cf. the answer of Renaud, it's a problem with the game forcing to start in 720p. It'll be corrected in the next few days i guess (or weeks).
I renamed your topic for clarity.

Thanks for the report, and glad you found a workaround! Will work on a fix soon.
