I had some FPS issues with the main game, but the Logitech fix resolved those. However, now that I'm playing Extraction Point, the issues are back.

The FPS drops aren't as bad, but in large open areas, the frame rate tends to go down to 40FPS regularly. I didn't notice that in similar open areas in the main game, where I never went below 60FPS.

Is Extraction Point just less well optimised?

Yes, if you read on fear.wikia.com or just normal one Extraction Point has memory leak issues in some areas, often is fixed by saving and loading in that area, if you dont it will go slower over time. On the other side, Perseus Mandate is even better optimized than base game.
I can confirm that. I just played through the first interval of Perseus Mandate. Not a single dip below 60FPS, and that level almost entirely consists of open areas.
