KnossosDomovoi: I finally got it working. It does not matter if "Config.exe" does not detect the NVidia display, just ignore that file. It is not necessary to run it. As I have read on another forum post here, the game will use the NVidia device just fine if you just select performance mode at the NVidia control panel for the FEAR.exe app.
I initially had problems and had to do 2 things to get it working. They're all mentioned in other threads here.
1. Right click the game's shortcut, open Windows 10 compatibility settings and select "disable full screen optimization". This will avoid the black screen lockup.
2. Download the dxinput8.dll file (or something similar) and put it in the game's installation folder. The link is on the sticky topic of this forum. This will fix a bug that keeps degrading performance after a while - the game will be unplayable without it.
No luck. I tried 1 and 2 and nothing. Im on windows 11. Im checking the Renderers in Settings and it says is trying to use the Intel UHD Graphics, instead of the envidia. I disabled the Intel UHD from device manager and nothing.
