With the patch in March 2025 for F.E.A.R.1 they introduced a 60fps lock, which should be configurable. Unfortunately I can't find the option anywhere? The Config.exe in the F.E.A.R. directoy does not have any option for the fps lock. I would like to set it 120 fps.

Open dxwrapper.ini and change LimitPerFrameFPS= 60 to 120.

There are three dxwrapper.ini files for the main game and both expansion packs so you have to do the change for all of these if you want a higher framerate in the expansions too.

It's recommended to use the EchoPatch on top.

Changing the value in dxwrapper.ini solved it. Thanks a lot.
I already used the EchoPatch but wondered why the game limited the fps to 60, although I set it to 120 fps in the EchoPatch file.
