I don't know if it's true, there is zero transparency about that... about either Steam and GoG.
Still, an (obscure) update just reached GOG.

Bug Fix
Fixed bug with Tarot Moon and Brainstorm
Fixed bug with Priest (when all cards became One Use)
Screen resolution bug - we know about this bug, but unfortunately we don’t yet know the reason for its appearance((( If you have such a bug, exit the game, press and hold the shift key (on Mac - Option key), and then start the game holding the shift key. Before starting the game, a window should appear where you can change the resolution of your monitor

Hi! Now, new versions of the game in GOG and Steam are the same. All subsequent patches will be released on Steam and GOG at the same time (no more than 24 hours delay)
