Fata Deum | Patch 0.1.4 | Out Now!
Check out the changes and let us know what you think!
Patch 0.1.4 is live!
First of all, THANK YOU for all the good feeback that we received on the beta branch it means a lot to us! We’re excited to roll out these changes now for everyone. This update is a first glimpse at the direction we want Fata Deum to take during Early Access – faster, freer, and more divine. Everything here is based directly on your feedback – thank you for helping us shape the game!
Main goals of this update:
• Unleash divine power: We’re removing restrictions to give players more freedom and a stronger “god” feel. This includes the multi-grab allowing you to migrate mortals to other cities, pick up bigger piles of resources (while just holding left mouse) and improved/increased throwing physics to come with more punch!
• End the night’s limitations: You decide what and when to do – gods don’t rest when the sun goes down. All actions that are available during the day are now also available at night.
• Reduce micro management: Quicker and more powerful multicast improving cast time and power of effect
• Quicker Building times: a new building won't wait for the next day to be build anymore allowing the player to have quicker impact and less forced micro-management.
• Fairer AI: we decreased the "last hit" power of AI gods that received additional mana when having 0 followers as a "hail mary" which felt unfair to players
• Improve Stability and Performance: we focused a lot on stability and performance improvements over the last week to make Fata deum more stable and improve the player experience - there is more to come soon though!
Patchnotes 0.1.4:
• reduced "last hit power" of AI (AI gets some extra mana when having 0 follower for a final push),
• bug fix where settlements under free will always switch to exhausting workload,
• mortals are now assigned to a building when dropped in the building area / circle no need to select the building directly anymore,
• working mortals stay most of the time now at their work place and have less breaks = easier to find and bless them,
• free the night: all actions possible at daytime are now possible at night too, you can also pause and speed-up time during the night (but still possible to skip of course),
• migration via drag and drop: migration from one settlement to another can now easily be done via multi-drag/collect and drop: just place them at the main building of another settlement,
• two mortals directly start constructing a new building when built during the day,
• increased population limit per settlement,
• updated tutorials for migration, night time handling and speedup and pausing time,
• speedy collect / drag and drop: just hold the left mouse button while collecting,
• increased amount of resources and mortals players can collect
• general speed up of all imp hand interactions,
• more power / speed on physics while throwing
• decreased AI difficulty
• reduced cast bolt effect as becoming to large on higher levels
• Grabbed objects do not disappear in the night and are are saved and still grabbed after loading a savegame
• Improved performance and stability
• improved damage logic for godly fist: no more extra damage when directly hitting the ground
• removed doubled power entries in tooltip when leveling up
These are just the first steps toward the Fata Deum we envision. Please keep sharing your feedback – it’s shaping the future of the game!
