Hello everyone, I've been pleaying through this game on and off, depending on how much I can tolerate it, as the game seems to be half great and half unbearable.
Anyway, I've played this game before many years ago, and somehow I recall around the end of act 1 I had 5 reputation points, because I remember how dissapointing it was to have enemies finally run away from you only for act 1 to end 5 minutes later and... well you know what happens later.
Now I've played past Pala and that area again, but this time I had 2 reputation, even though I've done everything on the map.

So that's my question - what other than missions/side missions increases reputation?
Is it accuracy? I've had it as low as 40% most of the game.
Is it difficulty? I've lowered the difficulty from the hardcore (or whatever is the hardest) to easiest once I've got bored with it and discovered you get to carry more ammunition on easier difficulties.
Could it be number of rescues/wounds or even people killed?

Perhaps there was a patch or update during all these years that changed this? I kind of want to play with the highest reputation, as it's kind of a novelty, and It WAS satisfying to have people in those damned outposts actually not shoot me for once. And since this drastic change, I worry I might not get to experience it at all in this playthrough.

It's not a huge issue - just a curiosity, and I'll slowly play through this game regardless - with all it's huge, huge problems I kind of like this game more than FarCry 3, for some reason.

And hey - thanks for taking the time to read this, even if you don't have an answer.
You can find your answer at here: http://farcry.wikia.com/wiki/Reputation
