I have two questions:
- I tried to talk to Kane (so that he'd lead me to Decker), but all he says is "Are you looking for trouble" even though I'm unarmed. And the third time, he attacks me. Do I need to speak to someone in particular before talking to Kane?
- If I don't take Decker's job to kill Hightower (since I want to have as little victims as possible), is there another way to steal the necklace?

Your reputation must precede you first. Kane will talk to you if you've killed Gizmo or Killian. If you haven't done either, talk to Beth (the owner of the gun store).
Again, if you have high speech (and you're willing to exploit a glitch). Tell the guard outside of Hightower's house that you're late for a meeting with him. Tell the guard inside that you need to speak to Hightower (again, requires high speech). As you're just outside of Hightower's room, enter combat (press 'A'). You can use this to go past the square where Hightower questions you and throws you out. Run into the room with the locker and take the necklace.
...or you can try sneaking into his room at night. That works, too.

You can tell them to leave you or wait somewhere, IIRC.

Now, I got another problem. I spoke with Beth, I killed Gizmo, I busted the Skulz gang, I stole the necklace (and got the electronic lockpicks), but Kane stills don't want me to see Decker. Note that I used the 1.3.5 unofficial patch. Did I do something wrong?
