I have just got Fallout 2 for Mac via GOG

What mods, patches, fixes do I need to install before I get started, or does GOG include everything?

Sorry for the post, just new to this, and nothing makes sense to me!

1. Can I use Killaps Restored Content update on mac?
2. Beyond Killaps patch, any other patches updates I need? Also, how do I add Killaps patch to the Fallout Game?
3. The Avatars etc I got with my GOG purchase - can these items be added to the game, and if so, how?

Thanks!!!!

PS (EDIT)

I use Mountain Lion (eventually Mavericks when it's released) and am on a Macbook

1. Mac install isn't a option yet (just checked the site).
2. Nah, this patch fixes 90% of the bugs. I can't help with installation, I don't use mac.
3. Maybe in Fallout Tactics, but not in FO1/2.
First off, you don't need any patches for Fallout 2. In fact, I'd recommend not using any for your first time. After that, sure, killap's Fallout 2 Restoration Project is a great choice. Version 2.3 was just released a couple of weeks ago.

I myself plan to try adding the F2RP to a Mac installation of Fallout 2, but I haven't gotten to it yet. I know it can be done though. If you're really interested, head on over to No Mutants Allowed (www.nma-fallout.com) and look on the Fallout General Modding forum. You should find answers to most of your questions there.

I suggest you read first and ask questions later, though. Nobody knows more about Fallout than the chaps over at NMA, but they can be impatient with people who show up asking a bunch of questions when they obviously haven't read the forums, simply because any questions you may have have already been answered many times over.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I'm not sure why you say this. Unofficial patch eliminates hundreds of bugs, things that the latest official patch doesn't fix, so I really don't see advantages of ignoring killap's patch.
