I try to add my protagonist some lategame perks right from the start for fun.

I managed to figure out how to add custom portrait, how to make the custom character choosable in the game, added tags, stats etc. (the regular charactersheet options), but despite adding the perks in the editor, they not seem to do anything to my character., and I don't get why.

I'd appreciate the help.

--------------

Skills which only appear by name, but fail to do anything when applied from the official editor:
- action boy
- bonus hth damage
- dodger
- drunken master (this actually makes no effect in the game! It is broken like Bend/Break the Rules!)
- stunt man (the +10% of pilot at least)
- toughness

Perks that DO work:
- bonus hth attacks
- loner
- silent running
- slayer

If cheat programs are not beneath your fist then you can use bosche.exe to edit your main PC and bosedit.exe to edit your team mates.

First: I don't have teammates (aside a mule).

Second: I'd stick with the official tools. Currently I circumwent the problem by lowering my perkrate to 1, and it feels enough. Still no idea why the official editor behaves buggy.
