Hello,
I contacted customer service about this problem but I would like also your expertise ;)
I have a problem with Fallout.
Basically I can play the game fine, it works and all...problem is that the text is almost unreadable. I cannot distinguish different characters in the text making it impossible to read...it basically looks like an alien code or something.
I tried to play with the compatibility modes within the exe file but nothing. I am playing with a very old laptop, which should have all the drivers updated...I mean...updated to the latest versions from the support page of the manufacturer...so around 7-8 years ago...great support isn't it?
yes I am aware that this is Good Old Games and NOT Good Old Computers ;P
Anyway, I would appreciate any kind of suggestion...I already sent the dxdiag file to the support, lets hope they can figure out what's going on.
As a side note I am playing Master of magic with this laptop without any problems...yet ;)

I've never heard of problem with text (other than being too small on ultra high resolutions using high res patch). Could you upload a screenshot so we could see exactly what the problem is? Is this Fallout 1 or 2?
As for MoM, it's a dos game so it can be run on basically anything that DOSBox has been ported on.

Hi Petrell :)
I have the problem with Fallout 1...and I included a screenshot, thanks for pointing that out, I don't know what I was thinking ;)

Someone else had this problem a couple years back. You need to install the high res patch and delete ddraw.dll.
