Hi everyone, I've already played to Fallout 1&2 and games like Jagged Alliance or X-COM (old and new), but it's not quite clear to me what kind of game this is (just beated the first mission).

Also I should play it on "real time" or by turn? I've tried both of them but I'm still not sure which one I prefer. I there is a hotkey to switch or to "pause" combat will be perfect.

Any general tips? After ending the firts mission I found about 4 random encaunters with "civilian", can I do anything with them?

Thanks.
I prefer turn based. I'm a huge XCOM fan myself. That said in CBT mode just hit Enter/Return and voila! Turn based.

It's a tactics game much like XCOM and it's earlier predecessors (Laser Squad and Rebelstar I + II), but it has roleplay elements (ie, your soldiers get better at their skills, gain hp etc etc).

As for the civilians you can ignore them for the most part. Unless you want bad karma....though saying that, if you end up in a random encounter with civilians and another enemy type, like raiders, let some of the raiders kill some civilians. Kill the raiders and if you're very "lucky", you might find a Neostad combat shotgun on one of the dead civilians. It's not available until much later on but you can pick it up after mission one given enough investment in time. I know this from personal experience.
