Trying to run the FO:T installer prompts me that the .bin isn't in the same folder (in spite of the fact that it is) so I pick the path to the .bin and then get this error: http://i.imgur.com/cisTgdA.png

The checksums on the exe and the bin are both right, I've tried multiple folders and redownloaded a couple of times, I'm at a loss here.

Do you have UAC enabled? Did you tried to run installer "as Administrator"?
got the same issue UAC is disabled and ran as admin still no luck. its looking for the bin file but im guessing its named wrong or looking for the wrong bin file.

Yes and yes, unfortunately.
Hello there,

I have the same problem as the OP has.

So far the solutions that have been suggested don't really tell me anything. I have no idea what UAC is and as I am the sole user of this computer there is so far as I know no separate 'administrator' user profile.

User Account Control (UAC) is a "feature" from Microsoft that limits right on administrator account (by default "first user" has admin privileges, regardless of user's name).

I don't have GOG's Fo:T (only CD version) so I can't help more here... :-|

Well, you can check DEP settings and/or anti-virus "overdoings"... ;-)
Hello,
I am having the same problem here, tried another folder, another hard drive and it still can't find the .BIN file.
I got this error too :( I thought it was an issue with the filename and tried to change the .bin file's name to other things, but nothing have worked yet.
all my other games from GOG is working fine with the installer so im thinking it must be the installation exe there is a problem with since it won't recognize the bin file that comes with the download. gog needs to notified about this

Placed a ticket with support (# ZHJ3ZT9B). From the number of posts in just a couple of days, this doesn't seem to be one person's isolated incident. Let's hope the support folks can address this quickly! I know we're all looking forward to getting some game time in!

Try downloading the second BIN file that should be showing up on your My Account page. Somehow that second BIN file went missing. Let me know if that helps.

Now we're cooking with gas! There were only two files to download earlier, but now that 3rd file is showing up on the My Account page. I downloaded it & now everything seems to be working as planned.

Cheers!
Ah yes! installation went smooth no problems here.
thank you
