It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Ok so I also couldn't make fallout work. I was getting the screen resolution problem like everyone else. I worked that out by renaming the draw.dll files to ini files.

I now face a newer problem. It loads up fine, plays the intro video fine and then just stops. Once the intro video is done the screen turns all funny colored and just stops working. This also happens if I try to skip the intro but the screen just goes green instead. Any ideas for this one?

Anyone have anything slightly helpful? Any thing at all?

I haven't had your problem before, but there are a few standard things to try if you haven't yet:

1) I'm not sure about your resolution fix. I know there is a fan-made mod to allow higher resolutions, that might be a better thing to try and it might also fix your hangup issue. I wouldn't be surprised if your renaming of the .dll files caused this new problem.

2) Have you tried running in various compatibility modes? Also, are you running as administrator? I've also heard that there can be problems in Windows 7 if you install games into the "program files" directories, maybe try installing to something like c:\games instead?

3) Do you have a multi-core processor? Many old games have issues with these. You can try to set the affinity to a single core of your processor; usually this is done by launching the game, then switching to the task manager, finding the game's process in the list, right-clikcing it, and picking "set affinity". If it's set to more than one CPU core, switch it to CPU0 only. You can also try changing the process' priority; on the same menu, choose "set priority" and try switching it to low.

4) Believe it or not, sometimes upgrading your video card drivers can help with old games. Try updating if you haven't already.

5) Some others in the forum had issues with their firewall interfering with the game. They apparently had to set it to "game mode". I'm not familiar with this, but it might be worth checking if none of the other ideas work. Also check your antivirus to make sure it's not interfering.

Let me know if any of those help.
