Hello goggers,

one shor question about mods: how do you activate them in the gog version? the mod is a .esp data and those you can select on the game launcher with setting a hook or not.....the thing is it looks like the gog version doesnt react if you hook or unhook something.......the add ons for example launched with the game no matter if i unhooked them and the mod doesnt launch by setting the hook (it shows in the list).

is there a trick/difference of the gog version or could it be a reason that i altered the .ini file(force 60 hz, multicore etc)?

thanks alot in advance

Just use a mod manager like everybody else, it'll do these things for you and help you fix things.

Also, read the mods description very carefully. GOG's version should be no different.

PS: Never install to a system folder, like Program Folder. Don't run the game through Galaxy either. It will give you headaches sooner rather than later unless you're a power-user...

That said, it is a buggy game built on a semi-broken engine, so that's why you should consider using at least a mod manager + unofficial patches.

That I don't know, but you should delete the config files and start over to see if the mods are working properly. And then start doing manual tweaks.

thx alot, but i usually only use vanilla versions thats why a mod manager for just one game might be a little over the top....the only mod i try to use for fallout nv is the ash and goo pile remover....the description fpr the mod says to use the file manager of the launcher, where the mod is actually present...it just doesnt work ingame, or at least the piles didnt disappear afte waiting for 3 days+..

with the ini modifications the game runs fine and smooth (beside some fps drops sometimes when using machine guns) only the loading issue when loarding from the main menu left sometimes
