Has anyone got Fallout 2 working on OS El Capitan?

I have been unable to do so.

I ran both tactics and FO2 on my Mac last year, during which time I was using the old OS 10.6.8.

I suspect that when the old Mac OS was replaced the old Mac versions of FO 1, 2 and Tactics became obsolete and are no longer for sale because they are not compatible with the new OS.

no Mac version FO game is openly sold as far as I can tell.

I've been trying to get my recently downloaded copy of Fallout Tactics Classic running on el Capitan, without success.

I tried updating the wrapper and engine as suggested in an earlier post in this thread. With the game set to use the native graphic drivers, the game runs (instead of showing an error message to the effect that X11 has quit unexpectedly) but all I get is a black screen ...

I really wish I had managed to download copies of these games back when they were using Boxer. I've generally been very impressed with how well GOG's Boxer-based games work on my Mac. The Wineskin-wrapped games, not so much (though there are a couple exceptions).

Hope the team can fix the Mac version soon. Only Windows versions are available now...
