Hi all,

my fist post here, nice to meet ya all ! ;-)

I have a digital version of fallout 1 in my pc, come from digitalplanet, dunno GOG at the time...

And i see the topic and the youtube page that let us kknow that it is possible to play fallout 1 (yeheeeee) on android.

but i can't manage to do so...

I have an android samsung S3, version 4.2 and turbo dosbox on it.

So, i installed fallout on my pc, without any patch etc...

I take the "fallout" folder, and copy it to my phone memory.

after that i open dosbox, type: CD download, cd fallout1, falloutw.exe

And then the message is that the exe file is a windowed nt file that can not be used by dosbox.

So, i tryed to DL the Fallout.exe file from internet, the one Without the W and replace it on my mobile memory.

But then, when i enter "fallout.exe" in dosbox, it show me the fallout desk with the words "loading fallout" and then come back to dosbox...

Can someone help me out please? im completely stucks, lost 1 complet day without success...

Yarg, i wanted to play fallout on my android devise so badly...

Thx for your help,

Best Regards,

Sitasan, Fallout fan from 1990

PS: im french born language, sorry for my bad level in english

PPS: i see that there is an other way than dosbox to play fallout, but i don't understand this way, i would love to use dosbox that i know.

Hello/Bonjour:)

Please post future Fallout for Android questions in the Fallout for Android thread I have created here.

How to run Fallout 1 & 2 on Android

Digital download copes of Fallout1 lack the Dos files. You need to manually add these files into the fallout directory before you can launch the game using a Dos emulator.

How to run Fallout 1 on DosBox Turbo

I should note that Dosbox Turbo has had many updates since I filmed this video and now has vastly improved audio/video quality. Me and the author have talked about the problems running fallout and you can now allocate more memory by default and select GPU acceleration in the settings. Lots of great improvements have been added and you can expect even better performance than is displayed in this video.

I will make a newer video for running fallout 1 & 2 with Dosbox turbo as soon as I finish making a video explaining how to play baldurs gate, planescape and Icewind dale. It should be done later this month.

Regards
