So i've been trying to find a solution all morning to my problem. I bought Fallout 3 GOTY edition on GOG because everyone on steam said that Steam's version always crashed, and that GOG's version didn't. Well it appears that they were all running Windows 7 or 8, where as I am running 10. Every time I try to launch a new game, it starts the loading screen, then immediately crashes. I haven't played Fallout 3 in ages (Since i stopped playing on the Xbox 360) and I wanted to play it again and introduce my wife to the wonderful world of Fallout. I was going to play through 3, NV, and 4 in order, but since this isn't working, I guess I'll have to come back to it.

Has anyone else had this problem? What fixed it. I've tried the compatibility mode changes and running it in a windowed screen. I don't have any previous save files on my computer. I've tried a fresh install. I've run it an an admin. I tried GOG's troubleshoot. Now i'm turning to my last beacon of hope, the community.

Ever since the big udate from ms this has been a problem. I run win 10 and fallout 3 started normally everytime until the update. Use FOMM or use your fallout 3 exe to launch it. If you use mods, then I would use FOOM. I always launch with it anyway

sorry about the misspelling...I meant FOMM not FOOM...lol
