I'm having some random crashes while playing the game. I've played this game in the past so I know it's not my specs. I decided to get the GOG version and now I'm having this problem
This question / problem has been solved by Sarafanimage
Please post your specs and operating system. There can be many reasons of these crashes. The fact is that Gamebryo engine which Fallout 3 uses is known for being unstable on many machines.

Sarafan: Please post your specs and operating system. There can be many reasons of these crashes. The fact is that Gamebryo engine which Fallout 3 uses is known for being unstable on many machines.
My specs :
WIndows 8.1 64 bits
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 4170 CPU @3.70 GHZ
8 GB RAM
GTX 650 2gb
HDD 1500 gb

I think it's very strange since I've played this in the past with no problems

First try to disable autosave. It can cause crashes. If it doesn't help go to "Documents\My Games\Fallout3\FALLOUT.ini" and change "bUseThreadedAI" to 1. Try if it makes any change.

I think that did it. I've played for some time and the game didn't crashed as before. If anything changes I'll post here. Thanks for the help Sarafan. * Just to be clear : I didn't disable the auto save for now but I changed the .ini file .
