korell: The fix was an ini tweak to make it use just one CPU core. It would be great to know if the GOG version already has this fix implemented without needing to do it yourself. Similarly, it would be good to know if the GOG version has the executable patched to be large address aware so that it can handle more than 2GB RAM.
Yes and yes, but I would advise playing with additional FOSE stability plugins (like Stutter Remover) nonetheless.
