Hi, I am having some problems:

Problem 1: I click the Fallout 2 icon on the desktop, the one created by the installer, and it says "fallout2.exe cannot be started"

Problem 2: I go to the game's folder, click on the game's own .exe file and it starts but with color problems.

I know the game can run just fine on my PC. I know it because right after installing it, if I click "launch game" from the installer, it works just fine. Then, if I quit the game and try playing it again those problems happen.

Does somebody know how to fix this? Reinstalling it everytime is becoming a bit tedious

See if this works:

Create a batch:

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
"C:\?\?\?.exe" <-Here you put the path to Fallout 2 .exe file
REM if the game finishes press enter to restart explorer
pause
start explorer.exe

When I do this I get an error-message saying "couldn't find/load text fonts"

There's another trick you can try: Play with opened Screen Resolution Setting
- Right click on your desktop, click Screen resolution.
- Open Advanced Settings.
- Leave this open, and run the game

Also try running the game with administrator rights and in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP SP3)
Running it with administator rights did the trick
