I recently got into FO2 and all was working fine. Combat was slow so I turned combat speed to max, then everyone was zipping around and it was perfect. But suddenly that doesn't seem to work anymore. No matter what I do with the combat speed slider, it's always the default speed and I can't figure out why.

I'm playing the default Steam version that which I'm pretty sure is the same as GOG, with 1.02 and Sfall. I just tried installing Killap's unofficial patch but combat speed is still broken

Any ideas?

burn: try checking FPS? Loading an earlier save?
My framerate jumps from 30 to over 600, I really should limit that.

An older save did kind of work, but only for the player and now I know why. My older save was when I didn't have always run enabled, so taking a turn while walking makes him zoom around faster than if he were running, even on the new saves.
Does this mean that combat speed only speeds up walk speed and everything else is the same?
That's strange. No, combat speed should affect everything.
I kind of suspected that it's actual game that slows down, FPS. But if walking is fast, I'm not sure what could that be.
Try asking on NMA, maybe someone else had this problem.

Thanks. I posted there and I'll edit this post if I ever find a solution
