Cleared out the deathclaw warehouse, went to see the arms dealers, then doubled back thru the warehouse where the DCs have respawned. Except now, Katja refuses to fight even when hit, and Ian runs away! Any idea why?

Running away when the fight begins, could mean that Ian has low health. Give him few stimpacks.

Sounds like crippled limbs to me. Forgot how you check it. By looking at them? If they have crippled limbs you need Doctor skill and a first aid kit or doctor's bag, or need to find doctor capable of healing such grieveus wounds.
